Reading Fringe Festival
This multi-arts Festival hosts supports hundreds of artists annually, providing a platform for emerging artists, whilst welcoming established national and international performers.
As well as our open access stream, we have a regular programme of collaborations and commissions with artists and collectives such as House of Sound, A Change Is Gonna Come, Hannah James, Jackie Oates, Terje Isungset (Norway), Arturo Castro Nogueras (Puerto Rico), Maura Morales (Cuba), Susanne Diesner (Düsseldorf), and urban artist KJ263 (Düsseldorf).
In 2020 the Fringe went digital, hosting a fully digital programme of mixed live and pre-recorded content, over 60% of which was accessible. It reached over 12,000 households and was awarded the inaugural OffWestEnd (Offie) ONEOFF award.
